Last updated: 1 July 2026
1. Introduction
Lindenbaum B.V ('Lindenbaum', 'we', 'us') respects your privacy and processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, 'GDPR') and other applicable data protection legislation. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we process, for what purposes and on what legal bases, and describes the rights you have with regard to your personal data.
2. Who is responsible
Lindenbaum B.V, with its registered office at Concertgebouwplein 13-H, 1071 LL Amsterdam, the Netherlands, is the controller within the meaning of the GDPR for the processing of personal data described in this policy. You can reach our team at [email protected] or by telephone at +31-970 324 00311.
3. Personal data we process
The personal data we process depends on your relationship with us. If you visit our website, we may process technical data such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited. If you contact us, apply for a vacancy or instruct us, we may process your name, contact details, professional information, and any other information you provide to us in the course of our engagement.
4. Purposes and legal bases
We process personal data for the following purposes: (a) to respond to your enquiries and correspondence, on the basis of our legitimate interest or your consent; (b) to provide legal services, including client intake, conflicts checks and the conduct of litigation, on the basis of performance of a contract and compliance with legal obligations; (c) to assess job applications and vacancies, on the basis of pre-contractual measures and your consent; and (d) to improve and secure our website, on the basis of our legitimate interest.
5. Sharing with third parties
We only share personal data where necessary: with processors who support our services (such as IT and data hosting providers), with courts, regulators and other parties where required by law or in connection with legal proceedings, and with counterparties and co-counsel to the extent necessary for our engagements. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
6. Retention
We retain personal data no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. Where a legal obligation to retain data applies, such as under the Dutch civil code and the attorney-client privilege rules, the relevant statutory retention periods take precedence.
7. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage. Access to personal data is limited to those of our people who need it to perform their duties.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable form. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time. You may exercise these rights by contacting us at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
